Palawan, Philippines

It was been on the top of my vacation list for a long time. And finally, last January we've been to Palawan (the greenest City of the Philippines) with the whole family. We explored Puerto Princesa by doing several tours...City Tour, Undergroundriver Tour, Honday bay (island hopping) and spent a day at Irawan Ecopark.

At Irawan Ecopark, we did Trail walking by the river and fish feeding, skywalk, visited butterfly farm, carabao riding and finding "coffee luwak", the most expensive  and delicious coffee in the world!
The beautiful mountains of Palawan.
Near Saint Paul mountain, where the Undergroundriver is located.

Undergroundriver of Puerto Princesa is one of the new 7 wonders of the world. To reach the river, we took a motorized boat for 15 minutes, crossed the beach and walked thru the forest for a few minutes till we reached another smaller beach, once we arrived there, we were instructed to put on a safety swimming vest and a helmet...then another smaller boat took us inside the cave.

The guide did the peddling as well as provided us the history of the river. It was dark inside the cave. A volunteer among us was holding a huge flash light and used it with the directions of the guide.

A giant mushroom.

Huge corns formed by the minerals inside the mountain.

The Elephant Cave.
